Recently I got a couple of new MAC lip products and I'm planning to review them all. I already reviewed the lip pencil Spice and the lipstick Kinda Sexy that I got a while ago, but now it's time for the MAC Velvet Teddy lipstick. Velvet Teddy was one of my most wanted lipsticks for a while. I'm really glad that I got my hands on this baby now, because it's a beauty. Although I have been wearing more lip liners on their own lately, I still have rocked this lipstick a couple of times already. Do you wanna know what I think about it? Keep reading then!

Let's start with the packaging of MAC lipsticks. I've told you this many times, but I just really think MAC lipsticks look awesome. I love looking at them on my vanity or pulling them out of my make-up bag. The tubes are simple yet classy, just the way I like my make-up to be, haha!
Now it's time for swatches! As you can see, Velvet Teddy looks very creamy when it's swatched. That's a great plus in my opinion: most lipsticks with a matte finish like this one are drying on the lips. MAC Velvet Teddy is probably one of the most hydrating matte lipsticks I've tried. And this is how the colour looks on my lips. I haven't used any lipliner, yet the colour is still very opaque on my lips. I think this is a pretty tricky colour, 'cause let's be honest: brown lips is definitely not for everybody. With that being said, I think Velvet Teddy is still a pretty ‘safe' brown colour, if you know what I mean. Because this colour is still kind of nude-y on me, it fades really nicely through out the day. You don't have to worry about touching it up or something!
So what about the texture of this lipstick & the colour payoff? As I already told you, this lipstick is really smooth considering the fact that it has a matte finish. This means that you can also rock this colour on the chapped-lips-kind-of-days, if you know what I mean. And although this colour is still kind of nude-ish, it's still very pigmented. One layer of this lipstick and you're definitely good to go.
And this is the moment we all been waiting for (lol just kidding). This is how the lipstick looks on me in a full face shot. I think it looks pretty nice on me, considering this is definitely a bit of a daring colour choice. To be honest, I've always liked to wear a bit more of a brownish lipcolour. It's just that they weren't that easy to find, because most people didn't like them. Now that they are a hype, you can find brown lipsticks everywhere. I still think this is a pretty unique colour, so finding a drugstore dupe isn't that easy. Anyways, I just really like this colour on me!
You can probably guess to answer to that question. It's definitely a yay! I recommend this lipstick to everybody that's on the lookout for a brown lipstick. Just try to make a swatch of it at a MAC counter or store, just because it's a pretty daring colour and it looks very different on every person I've seen. This lippy is also a colour that's close to the Kylie Jenner liptrend, so if you're into that, don't pass this baby up! The texture of this lipstick is very nice and the colour payoff is also amazing, so I don't have any bad things to say about it. It's yet again, an awesome MAC lipstick!
